Workplace stress, what to do?

workplace stress

Stress really seems to get to me at work. The factory line that I am an operator on, some of the people don’t want to do what they are suppose to, so I have to pick up the slack on top of what I already have to do. There are also some days when a couple people can’t remember what I trained them on from yesterday, so I have to deal with that. Half the time at the end of the day the folks who work with me leave right at quitting time and don’t help clean up, so I’m stuck with that myself. I have to run things myself the first 10 or so minutes in the morning because the others refuse to head towards the line until the clock says 8:00 sharp. I think the problem is a couple of these people think they have it easy because mommy or daddy works there, and they can just go cry to them. I guess since I’m a temp, not a company person, my opinion doesn’t matter. I never even wanted to be moved up to this position, but they wanted me there. I just told them what they wanted to hear.
I asked this already, I’m just putting it in a different catagory.
I think the reason they wanted me in this position is because I know just about every job on the line, and I never complain about anything I have to do. We all need to work together.

Some of these people don’t know what it’s like to go home or go to bed at night and worry about what is going to happen the next day at work. Sometimes I get sick to my stomach or can’t even sleep.
What the second guy said would be fine, BUT, since I am the main operator on this line, everything falls on me. If I don’t stay and clean up, for example, I get blamed for it the next day. If other people aren’t doing their jobs right, I have to get it done or else that falls on me too.
By the way, I’ve been here little over a year.

ohh make sure you dont let the stress get to you thats really important
dont think your becomming a snich by telling the boss, thats better if you do, who cares what everyone thinks, they dont care what you think.
talk to your workers also, tell them whats bothering you.
check out this website to learn more, and remeber to deal with the stress in a posotive way, exercise, talk it out, write it down. Dont take it out on other people or doing things like drinking to much it wont help.
good luck and be happy :D

  2. Sounds like you’re a workhorse. That can be good if you’re looking for a promotion. If you don’t care about the job and you’re just a temp, then do the same amount of work as everyone else. If you’re looking for a promotion then tell your supervisor your problems and do a good job. I wouldn’t clean up after others and do that much extra work since it’s not your job and you’ll get stressed. All you can do is let your supervisors know what’s going on and do your share of the work.

It is a temp job ,
Focus your mental energies on the job you are working towards , not this .
Just deal this temp thing ( do the best you can while there ) ,
Only work on the clock ( you’re getting paid , does not matter what others are or are not doing )
And forget it when you clock out .

Only use your mental energy to work towards the job you are after ,
    Not this temp thing .

    Good luck
