There are similarities between the two cultures-civilizations even though they lived across the Meditteranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean; length of calendar is the same,both predict end of the world about the same time,ziguarts (step pyramids) are located in mid east & Central America, used hyrogliphics (Egyptians more than Babylonians but almost equally to Mayans use of Hyrogliphs), Egyptians burried Pharohs in Pyramids,Mayans burried Pharohs under Pyramids for similar reasons (They believed the rulers would become a God or gain eternal life). Sure is a lot of "random ?" co-incidences . It may be the end of us and not the planet itself, due to an undetected Comet smashing into us one day,because there aren't enough eyes on the sky or nuclear missle exchanges or just nothing.
