It was absolutely amazing that NC and VA went blue for 2008. The GOP will focus campaigning there like crazy, so that a one-election oddity doesn’t turn into a long term party change. The Dem/GOP balance is really close, so it’s really about who does the most work there.
I don’t see how those two can go blue again.

Indiana didn’t go blue by that wide of a margin, they may not stay blue in 2012. But, if the stimulus works they will stay solid blue, you can count on that. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case for North Carolina and Virginia as well. It is still going to be about the economy in 2012, along with the Afghanistan war.

It’s any body’s guess. I think it depends on how well Obama does. If Obama does bad than I think that Virgina, North Carolina, and Indiana will go back to red. If Obama does good than I don’t think any states will turn red, just more states going blue. I also think that Colorado, New Mexico, Iowa, and Nevada are staying blue unless Obama f**** up royally.

Illinois must get all the Democrats out before they ruin this state. The Chicago gang and the pay to play must get out now and no matter where they go. They have been in this state too long and Blanko was right about the high taxes that they will put on us.

New York State, where I live, is getting destroyed by Democrats, and hopefully they’ll vote Republican in 2012.

The 2012 election is already been decided and Obama wins in a landslide.

I live in North Carolina and I gotta say, this last election is the one time North Carolina made me proud of Georgia.*

Yes, those states will stay blue. Changing demographics are the reason.
