I think so… They are currently expanding the Stratford Regional station near the Olympic park to cope with extra tourists and there are many other plans to improve other stations around the site. Because the venues are spread across the UK there will be less stress to the host City. By doing this tourists will visit all over the UK and see what other British Countries are like making economic benefits across the Country. It is admit ablyf some taxpayers money and we won’t be getting much benefits out of it as individuals but in the long run the impact of the games will make the Country more popular – increasing the wealth of the Country and possibly/hopefully bringing down the tax meaning we will be better off.

It will definitely have a big impact. If you look you look at Beijing, Athens, Amsterdam, Barcelona, all the previous host cities of the Summer Olympics, you see after the Games the city has more to offer, there is a sort of spirit that is a bit abstract, actually.
Of course you notice that there are tourists everywhere to see the buildings etc. , but I think it will have a positive impact.

It’s indeed a good idea. And they can surely cope with the extra tourism.
The impact will be nice. The conservative attitude of the britons will be increasingly neutralised with their hosting the Modern Olympics.
Most importantly, Britain shall learn to follow the Chinese Model of Sports and Equality of Women.

London will cope but the Met’ Police wont. This much has been made clear…
It’s gonna cost waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much in this time of financial crisis, it’s already waay over budget.
I really do think that it’s a waste of time hosting it in the UK never mind London.
I guarantee that there will only be a negative impact on London before, during and loooooooooooooong after the games have been.
    It’s gonna be a disaster!

London will be great. I’m chinese who lives in the U.S. and I plan to go to the Olympics. I believe the Olympics is a wonderful opportunity to display what London and the rest of UK is all about. I’m so proud of London.

I agree with the other answer. You only have to look at the Millenium dome. Look at what a disaster that was. And the Olympics is on a much larger scale. We would have been better off without it. A total waste of tax payers money.
