What Do You Think About The Claims Involving The End Of The World In 2012?
The mayans, who were obsessed, and astonishingly accurate in keeping time, predicted the end of the world on December 21, 2012, along with the Chinese, the Greeks, the Romans, and some random English oracles.
That’s why I find it interesting, because all these unrelated cultures came to the same conclusion.
I’m not religious at all, so please don’t make religious claims involving God, unless there is biblical citation.

Hearing this 2012 crap is effective to teenagers like myself. I am 15-years-old and having to watch everybody talk about the world ending is pretty intense but makes me laugh at the same time. Only god can tell when the world is going to end, he’s the one who ends it. No prediction in the world can be as accurate as god’s. And if the world ends, clearly god will have ended it for a good reason. This 2012 crap is a complete joke to me. And if the world ends in 2012, so be it. Live your life, dont worry about the future until you get there, and stop wasting “the rest of your life” worrying about the things you cannot change.
I can tell you this much because I have study the calendar.. the calendar ends but it also talks about a new beginning for humanity, base on what I have read so far a whole new circle will start after 2012 but obviously there will be some destruction but that happens all the time.. look at the world on this days.. look at the tsunami in Indian over 70k people died.. we can go to war again.. an earthquake.. trust me there are a lot of things that can happen.

But what is the evidence that they are correct. How did they all come to this conclusion? I’m not disagreeing with you. I just want you to support your question with some back round evidence from these cultures.

ironically that’s my 40th birthday. i’ve been researching this for some time and have concluded that the world is not going to end. but there will be a change in the way we think about time.
There have been tons of nutbags claiming that the world would end on so many different days all throughout history. Quit being gullible and get on with it.
That is a deadly accurate calander and it is begining to make me wonder.

… anyway, not just them but many prophets are risen to proclaim the coming end, even simple people are given revelations about what is about to befall us … humans on this Earth … and you can read about it for example in Joel, chapter 2:

Warnings are given all the time … and admonishments … which urge people to change and to repent from their evil lives ….
… but exact date and hour is not and cannot be given … because that would impede our free will and with it God’s purpose also …
