Understanding Stress

The duration of negative stress can last for quite some time. It can take few days, weeks or even months. When facing with stress, it can be difficult for anyone to manage their lives and deal with their problems. If you are faced in a situation where you are being pressured or frightened, it can escalate your stress level. On the other hand, you can take an example of an accident as positive stress. For instance, imagine that you are driving down a highway when out of nowhere, a motor vehicle suddenly swerves right in front of you and you almost hit the car. If you are in charge of yourself, most likely you would take a few deep breaths to calm yourself down and thank God for not hitting the car.

Imagine you are still in the same scenario. A car suddenly swerved in front of you and you barely missed out a terrible accident from happening between you. Still shaken and because of negative stress, you will start hovering and screaming offensive phrase at the driver. Because of this incident, it might affect your behavior and your work for the rest of the day. In essence, it is vital to get yourself prepare and positive about life so you can take a better control in life.

The risk involves in life covers 10% of your life and the chances of you taking control of your destiny are 90%. That means you have a better hand to deal. Therefore you shouldn’t think that you can escape and be hidden from this world although there is no doubt that it is full of problems and despair.

If you worry about your bill that is due for two days because the check arrives late, try to pacify yourselves. There are other bigger problems faced by a lot of people. Therefore you need to loosen up and look at other people live.

In this world, there are other less fortunate people apart from you. Take a look at the homeless who not even has any job or place to stay. Most likely there won’t be anybody who would be hiring them unless someone would be kind enough to give them support. One other example is if a helpless blind woman was robbed by two men. If she is determined to fight, she will find a way to overcome her bad situation. She can even secretly dial 911 for help. This is a positive feedback from her although she might have to cope with the trauma later in her life.

Teaching and understanding stress management helps you to deal with your anger better. Most situations would always have a resolute answer and can be solved. If you think you are unfortunate, have a look at other lives and you’ll see that your life isn’t so bad after all.
