There are lots of people who have phobias. These are irrational fears that may be caused by a certain event, objects or even animals. However, no matter how other people would say that the causes are very irrational, phobic people would like to know the ways of curing phobias. Is there really an effective way to cure it?

You may be unaware but acknowledging your phobia is the first step in curing phobias. It is very noticeable that people who are having some problems in treating phobias are the ones who are disregarding it. Through acknowledgement, you will be able to deal with phobia right from its root cause.

There are numerous individuals who suffer terribly from phobia which comes in various forms. In fact, some of these phobias are already considered extremely strange and funny. Would you believe that there is even a phobia of frogs? All these strange phobias can really leave anyone deranged and utterly confused.

No matter how big or how small the cause of your phobia is, it can be treated in various approaches. In curing phobias, you will be fully explored about the event. When did it happen? What are the other objects that you associated with and even what caused this major fear?

After exploration, you may be subjected to desensitization. Basically, the concept in this approach of curing phobias is very simple. If you fear something, better get “immune” with it. If you fear a spider, you will be shown first a picture of a spider. The presentation of this stimulus will increase in level until you are presented with a live spider and will not fear any fear from int.

The task of curing phobias can be really challenging but once you have gotten the heart to fight and defeat it, then it will definitely be worth all your efforts. You can surely achieve peace of mind and freedom when that time comes.

by Terrel Lucas

Susanne had a panic attack one day after a flight. She started the attack when the plane was airborne and went to a doctor as soon as it touched down. She thought she was having heart attack symptoms, but also felt she was a bit too young for such a thing to happen. Her doctor told her she had actually had a panic attack and prescribed her some medication.

Worldwide millions of people endure the terrible symptoms of panic attacks. A panic attack is defined as a sudden surge of incapacitating fear that suddenly comes without warning and without any obvious reason. Although many panic attacks can last for over half an hour, some unpleasant symptoms can last longer.

Today, more than at any other time in history, being anxious, tense or nervous is part of the world we live in. There are hundreds of thousands of people who are suffering from panic attacks today.

Do you suffer from any of these symptoms of panic attacks?

Many people experience a slight case of “butterflies in the stomach” when facing a tense situation, but full-blown anxiety attack symptoms can mean severe nausea or stomach cramps, along with muscles so tense they hurt to move, tingling or numbness in the fingers, toes, and on the face, bouts of sweating, and a pounding heartbeat. There may also be symptoms such as the fear that you are losing your mind, and feeling disassociated with your surroundings, as if you are viewing a movie.

Doctors and researchers are constantly looking for new treatments every day simply because such a large percentage of the population suffers from panic attacks and anxiety. Conventional treatments for panic attacks usually consist of medication, therapy and teaching suffers how to cope with the symptoms of panic attacks through cognitive behavioural therapy. Besides using conventional medicine, doctors often recommend meditation and relaxation techniques to help patients deal with anxiety and stress.

Sadly, some people have taken medication to help with their anxiety only to discover that the unpleasant side effects they experienced were actually worse than the panic attacks themselves. Other therapies involve teaching the suffer “coping strategies’, which involve dealing with a panic attack once it actually starts.

Marriage turns sour and marital affairs do not end with a failed marriage. It always takes two people to form such union, and takes the same people to fail at said relationship. The tragic drama lies in some underlying factors which manifest in such a relationship. Having an affair is something that happens between two people and this is a special relationship that may develop even deeper.

Relationships come and go but it is truly different if marital affairs are involved. An unhappy marriage can rock the entire cosmos and this becomes too hard for one who wants to get out but cannot due to some traditions. By understanding the motivations behind the affair, an unexpected severance can be easily healed. Rebuilding ones personal well-being may not be difficult for some rational beings though it takes time to erase a scarred spirit.

This is nothing but utter hypocrisy! It is too difficult for a couple to maintain a public image of being married just to please society where they belong. Society can sometimes be cruel and one who is trapped in an intolerable union by reason of a legal impediment will have to become a prisoner by personal choice for fear of being ostracized. But the show must go on and a display of public affection though a bit awkward may often be made.

Normally, it is the male who initiates the break up and the poor wife has to hang on for the sake of the children and the marriage itself. Mens behaviors are often hard to decode and marital affairs are influenced by their actuations. An affair can help a marriage if one can comprehend its implications at its deepest degree. In a marital union where one or both of the parties have unmet needs and unexpressed desires intimacy may not exist and a sexual detour is likely to manifest.

Issues involving marital affairs are too private and extra-marital affairs can develop hidden from the prying eyes of the critical public. However, a real marriage in the truest sense of the word may begin if the married people have come to realize the effects of such outside relationship and decide to let bygones be bygones and pledge to give love a second chance. As they say: Love is lovelier the second time around. This second chance can be the commencement of real and deep marital affairs.

Winter months can hit some harder emotionally than others. People particularly vulnerable to seasonal moods during the fall and winter get slammed with low and depressive moods that are difficult for them to shake. If you feel some of these symptoms only during the fall and winter seasons then you may have SAD.

SAD SYMPTOMS

While SAD is a form of depression, there are a few symptoms which is particular to this particular ailment. Common elements of SAD include loss of energy, lethargy, chronic oversleep and increased appetite with a corresponding weight gain only during the affected seasons.

Other symptoms are more psychological. Intense anxiety, withdrawal from friends and family, difficulty focusing and concentrating on tasks are common to seasonal affective disorder sufferers. Women may experience increased PMS symptoms. In fact women are most susceptable to SAD as 70% to 80% of SAD victims are women.

Some typical SAD symptoms include:

* mood problems only occur during the fall and winter, disappearing in spring and summer

* chronic sadness

* excessive sleep

* loss of energy

* deep regret

* loss of motivation

* lack of interest in friends and family

* excessive weight gain

* lack of motivation

Seasonal affective disorder like any other mood disorder can be complicated and there may be more than one treatment for curing SAD.

Geography can also play a factor in contracting this disorder. People who live in extreme northern areas or extreme southern areas are more likely to contract SAD than others. Long winters and lack of light can contribute. Light therapy can be used to help those with SAD cope with the symptoms and achieve a normal lifestyle.

SAD QUIZ

You may be wondering if you suffer from SAD. Why not take this mini quiz and find out.

1. Are your feelings about the weather actively inhibiting your life?

2. Are you so unhappy that you’re unable to perform basic tasks?

3. Are you sleeping significantly more hours per night, and do you still have trouble waking in the morning?

4. Has your spouse or your boss complained about your change in behavior?

4. Has your spouse or your boss complained about your change in behavior?

5. Do you feel seriously depressed only in fall and winter (as opposed to simply grumpy or out of sorts)?

If you answered yes to most of these questions, it’s possible what you’re experiencing is SAD. The encouraging news is that there are cures for SAD. In fact there are multiple ways to alleviate SAD and bring energy and light back into your life.

TREATING SAD WITH LIGHT THERAPY

You will find that psychotherapy, drugs and SAD therapy lights are the three most common treatments for SAD. As it turns out SAD light therapy is one of the most effective and least expensive treatments found for SAD thus far. Non invasive, no side effects and easy to self administer SAD lamps are some of the benefits. For some simply sitting beside one of these special light boxes for a few minutes a day is enough to alleviate SAD symptoms. Look for web sites that discuss light therapy usage online with guides and ideas for SAD light usage, treatment schedule and SAD light shopping tips.

One may stay married only in paper and by name but emotional infidelity exists in some remote space where one is enjoying the comfort of being loved and appreciated from an outside party. Emotional marriage which is a product of emotional infidelity becomes an incredible union especially between two strangers who, by some amazing accident, happen to cross their paths. In most cases, emotional infidelity has become the best remedy for one who is nursing a terrible shock and pain of a broken heart. Someone out there somewhere helps one picks up the pieces of a shattered ego.

The feeling of belongingness to someone who cares and loves you is indeed an unimaginable experience. No amount of money can equate that enormous happiness of knowing that you are still a person capable of loving and being equally loved in return. Love is the most mysterious emotion that can move heaven and earth and move mountains. Being loved and needed is such a wonderful feeling with a fathomless meaning.

To forget someone once special is to find someone more special. But love sometimes comes from some strange places and it becomes beautiful when two strange people with individual differences come to accept each other and genuinely fall in love. Superficial love based on physical attraction may not last, but a relationship founded on a higher level is bound for eternity. It is a match made in heaven, supposed to be! Alas! They could have the right love, unfortunately at the wrong time for one is already committed.

Emotional entanglement is one of the most difficult situations to handle in case of an eventual break up. It is truly devastating much worse than a physical involvement. Cases of emotional infidelity often occur and this is merely on the emotional level. Physical chastity is still maintained while emotions deep inside the lovers concerned are erupting and outpouring.

If you love someone, you have to nurture it and let it flourish with mutual respect and understanding of the other persons shortcoming and misgivings. If only pure and unconditional love prevails, then there shall be no room for such clandestine relationship. Everything on this planet is subject to constant change and it is only change that remains constant and the inevitability of emotional infidelity.

Whether you are coping with a chronic illness or you are in recovery from a bad injury, you will find that pain is something that can drastically interfere with your life and your needs. While pain is a necessary part of human physiology, as it tells us when something is wrong, it is also important to learn how to control it and how to make sure that you can still live your life. Pain management can be a difficult thing to learn, but in the long term, learning methods to manage pain is essential. Whether the pain that you are dealing with is temporary or permanent, there are many things that you can do to take care of it.

The first thing that you need to do is to educate yourself on your pain. What is happening in your body when the pain occurs and why is this happening? Is there anything you can do to lessen it or to prevent it from happening? The more you know about the pain, the more in control of it you are going to be, and this can help immensely. Many people, even if they know the general cause of the pain, don’t follow the question of what the pain means and why it is caused to its logical conclusion. Sometimes simply knowing what steps you can take to mitigate the pain can help a great deal.

When you are dealing with pain on a regular basis, it is important to form a cooperative relationship with your primary care physician. This person is someone who is going to be working with you to help make you well and to help make sure that you are going to be able move forward. Make sure that you discuss any medications that they suggest. The important part of learning to manage pain is understanding that your physician is going to help you, but that they cannot do it without your input. Take some time and make sure that you explain your situation to them and remember that you should always think about how the treatment that they are proposing will affect you.

As you’ve no doubt already heard in the past, when someone is in pain they need to breath and this is something which cannot be stressed enough. When a person experiences severe pain it is not uncommon for the body to freeze up which results in a feeling of breathlessness. This in turn can of course result in a sense of panic, and in order to regain control of your body you need to focus on your to breathing. In fact, this one simple technique can be invaluable with regards to getting through the worst moments.

One of the most fundamental factors you need to consider as far as pain management is concerned, is that your pain is not going to disappear instantaneously. Ironically enough, many people expect pain to disappear almost immediately, even if they’ve just been in a serious accident and sustained serious injuries. Irrespective of how severe or how slight your injuries may be, there is practically no chance whatsoever that your pain will disappear overnight, and as such, it will be in your own best interest if you’re able to exercise a certain amount of patience.

Take a moment to consider how you manage pain and how it affects your life; the more you can control the situation, the better off you will be!

You probably know someone who is depressed. You may be wondering about yourself. The way you feel right now–does it fit the definition of depression? Clinical depression is a serious illness that affects millions, so you are right to be concerned. Understanding depression is a good first step toward treatment. Let’s see if we can figure this out together.

Feelings of sadness are normal. Everyone experiences a blue mood once in a while. But when feelings of sadness become your only feelings, and when a blue mood turns into a persistent black cloud, you may be suffering from depression.

Depression is an illness, a mental disorder that overwhelms your mind and body. It is not a transient mood that can be dismissed. The victim of depression is powerless to command it to leave. It changes how you think and how you feel. It essentially changes who you are and affects how you interact with others.

So how can you tell the difference between actual clinical depression and normal feelings of sadness. Essentially it’s about intensity and time. The feelings associated with depression are much more intense. Your character and your ability to cope with reality become severely affected. It becomes almost impossible to function on a daily basis.

Two weeks is typically the threshold for diagnosing depression. If after a negative life experience you are still withdrawn and sad after more than two weeks it is possible you have entered into a depressive episode. Without treatment a depressive episode can last for months, sometimes years.

How is depression treated? The good news is that depression is very treatable. Combining therapy with medication is usually quite effective. Investigating some of the newer “Energy Therapies” such as Emotional Freedom Techniques or Tapas Acupressure Technique can bring some impressive results and can be done in conjunction with traditional methods.

Depression can happen to anyone. It is not an affliction of those who are weak. Strong people can get depression as well. if you suspect that you may be suffering from depression, remember, the sooner you get help, the sooner you will feel better.

Pete had a particularly hard time maintaining a job. To be sure, due to his listlessness, lack of ambition, and less than stellar work attitude, he was out of work far more frequently than he was employed with a job. What is more, when he did get employment, he usually received less than positive performance assessments, he had an awfully difficult time getting to work in a timely manner, and he called off sick so habitually that he commonly got fired a few months after he began working. It consequently should not come as a great surprise that one of the outcomes of Pete’s less than optimal work record was the fact that he was just about flat broke almost everyday.

Despite Pete’s financial misconduct and less than optimal employment history, ironically, he seemed to find a way to drink in an untroubled and immature manner virtually every day of the week.

So it came as no big surprise to his family, friends, and ex-coworkers when Pete was arrested for driving under the influence for the second time in the past year. When he went to court, the judge clearly stated to Pete that his alcohol-related actions was irresponsible and, as a consequence, he was going to fine him $2,500 and sentence him to serve one year in the local county jail.

While he was in the municipal jail, Pete was expected to learn about the harmful and devastating effects of hazardous and immature drinking, about alcohol abuse and alcohol addiction statistics and facts, and he was mandated to get professional alcohol treatment. The magistrate clearly fact that unless Pete gets professional alcohol therapy and discovers how to live a life of sobriety, he would without a doubt be spending many months locked up behind bars.

Pete claimed that he understood the magistrates message but he still believed that serving time in the local jail was not the right form of punishment. The magistrate, however, perceived things from a radically different perspective and told Pete that it was his duty to keep people off the highway who drink and drive and who get arrested for one or more DWIs. To back up his position, the magistrate listed some thoroughly researched, venerable alcohol abuse and alcohol dependency facts and statistics that clearly demonstrated some of the horror stores that are linked with driving and drinking.

In his heart of hearts, while Pete knew that he drank too much, he never considered the possibility that he was addicted to alcohol. So it was a real eye opener when Pete began suffering from symptoms of withdrawal just a few hours after going to jail.

According to the standard operating procedures, when a prisoner goes through alcohol withdrawal symptoms he or she is transferred to an alcohol abuse and alcohol treatment center and then brought back to the municipal jail. This is done so that the drinkers alcohol withdrawals are addressed in a safe and protected manner. While behind bars in the municipal jail, Pete went to alcohol counseling four days every week. Since his rehabilitation was mandated by the judge, however, Pete was reluctant to take ownership of his habitual drinking.

After his time in jail was finished, the magistrate in very explicit terms told Pete that he would be placed on probation for two years, he would be place under stringent observation, and he would have to periodically take breathalyzer tests at court-determined dates and times.

After discovering how Pete failed to take accountability for his drinking behavior and how reluctant he was in maintaining the rehab and treatment modus operandi while he was behind bars in the municipal jail, the magistrate knew that it was principally a matter of time before Pete would once again appear in court for his abusive and chronic drinking behavior. As the magistrate thought about Pete and his particular situation, he fairly easily arrived at the conclusion that some individuals never use their brain and discover how to live in a mature and accountable manner.

by Olivia Harper

If you would like to cure panic fits, you might want to consider a state of the art program called Panic Away, made by Joe Barry. His program has helped thousands of sufferers.

Joe Barry talks about a method called the ‘One Move’ and it makes a lot of sense, yet, hardly any folks would have even thought about it. It does take time and practice though.

What Are Panic Attacks?

Panic attacks are episodes of intense fear that might be caused by an external stimuli or may appear out of nowhere and for no apparent reason. The second is more worrying and can lead to agoraphobia.

With an external stimuli, you know the exact reason why it’s happening. When it hits you for no reason, it can be extremely disturbing and tough to understand. Many of these people rush to emergency rooms.

In order to deal with your panic or panic attacks, you want to understand or educate yourself regarding what it is and why it’s happening. Panic Away helps you do this.

It’s also important to notice that the term’cure’ doesn’t imply you will never get another episode ever again. You can. It all relies on each individual. But if it does, you know what to do.

Panic Away has Helped Thousands!

Panic Away is an e-book that can be downloaded in seconds. It does have a refund promise inside a certain period, so start reading and applying it swiftly.

The cause of the reason is because not every treatment will work for everybody. If you find it does nothing, at least you tried and you’ve lost nothing, but you have gained valuable data.

Just like hypnosis, drugs or herbal cures ; not everyone has favorable results. In that respect, Panic Away should be viewed the same way. However, it does not look like many people ask for their money back!

Of course , there may be a small number of you who may have gone to many doctors without getting much help. These things do occur. You have got to accept it and try other avenues.

Without giving away too much, there’s no doubt that the information in Panic Away will highly likely help you to get your life back and end your suffering, as it has for many others who have used it to heal panic fits.

Panic Away & The Linden technique

It is not the most popular program of this nature that is’s available. Apparently, the Linden Method is more popular but both programs have different styles and benefits.

Panic Away is more for someone who learns better by reading. The Linden strategy is for those that prefer listening.

Panic Away has certainly helped yours really as well and is a highly endorsed product that’s also incredibly reasonable. The wonderful thing about it is that you receive support for life! And the support is from Joe Barry himself, the creator.

I have also known him to contact me simply to see how I liked the program and to see how things were going. It’s great that he did that and it shows he is attempting to improve what he offers.

This is surely worth looking into. It could be the answer you have been hopelessly looking for. .

It is not fully understood why panic attacks and anxiety transpire, even though they can happen at anyplace and anytime, even while you are asleep. An attack may be a one time event or a repeated and frequent event, however the repeated ones are mostly due to certain circumstances. Depression and phobias are some of the disorders that can give rise to panic attacks and anxiety. The good news is, there is a variety of medicinal treatments and cognitive therapies that will alleviate and maybe even cure your attacks.
