The theory of what will happen around December 12th 2012 all seem to be either A) The world will end or B) Every atom in the entire universe will be realigned into “The Light”.

So now I’m confused. Apart from the fact that we don’t know if it’s nonsense – should I now be building a survival bunker – or planning a huge enlightenment party?

What’s supposed to happen in 2012?

Everyone says that the world is going to end or something, but I’m not sure.

The Mayans said that it will be “a time of great forgetting,” and people are saying that what will happen could be anything “From cataclysm to enlightenment, world war to world peace, massive earth changes and physical destruction, to massive spiritual awakening to our inherent oneness”

So, what I want to know is, what exactly IS supposed to happen?

Are we going to enlightened and become one with the earth, or is the ground beneath us going to disapear or something?

Either to laugh at everyone who believed it’s the end of the world and were wrong or because we’ll supposedly reach enlightenment? I personally am hoping for some kind of change because I don’t really like how the world is right now… I fear my future more than this date because I have no clue what career to get into or what college to apply for, I’m actually looking forward to it just to see what happens

I have been mucking around with the different predictions on this: I personally think that it is going to be an awaking, an enlightenment, that will help mankind evolve to his next level… ultimately I would like to see mankind wean itself off the monetary nonsense that runs this world now and achieve success through personal accomplishment and fulfillment of self.

Recently, I have read stories about the Dec. 21, 2012 apocolypse. I have been ambivelent since then. Will the world end? Will we enter an enlightenment? Will nothing happen at all?
Well, looking at the thousands of years humans–not man, mind you, just humans–have walked upon the Earth, I feel ashamed.
Are we going to spend our last four years murdering each other savagely? Are we not going to attempt to bring happiness to the poor, the sick, the starving? Good Lord, I am so disappointed when I look at the world today.
Killings, assasinations, wars, sickness, disease, global warming, idiocracy, what is wrong with us? In what point in time did the human race choose the path of horribleness?
*If* the world will indeed end in 2012, I really do not want it to happen with people starving everywhere. I do not want soldiers to be spending their last minutes killing each other. I do not want last minutes to be spent plotting murderous revenge.
What can we do, if the world will end??

My Husband who is not a religious person, was not on drugs, came to me last night and it was so random but he was talking about enligtenment and 2012 and a bunch of randomness and Im trying to understand his views and what he believes it just freaking me out he started crying a man that never cries!!! He was basically saying that were going to another place not heaven but another world and everyone is going to be happy and loved and at peace. Can anyone shine some light on what he was talking about??
Oh please no rude comments!! He’s not crazy he just strongly believes in something that is hard to explain.

Okay. So the Mayan calander ends in 2012. Who really believes this will happen? I have proof that the Mayans weren’t really meaning the end of all things on this earth. What they were saying was that something better will happen. War will end and we will all reach enlightenment. I doubt anything will happen….do you?

Some people say it is the end of humanity.
Other people think its going to begin a time of enlightenment.
What do you guys think?
I am not saying that I believe anything is going to happen. So do not direct your answers to me. I am curious to hear people’s opinions. Lately I have read a lot of hype about this.
