<p>There are energy-wheels known as chakras which line up along the central line of everyone.</p>
<p>There are seven of these wheels (although a few more mystical practitioners say there are 14),</p>
<p>These begin at the lowest base of the body (thought of as either the base of the spine or the genitals) and extending in their order to a person&#8217;s crown (tippy top of the head).</p>
<p>The base chakra is red. As we go up, the solar plexus has a golden chakra; the belly or womb chakra is orange in hue. The heart has a green chakra, the throat blue and the center of the forehead is indigo. This acts like the third eye. At the crown, the chakra is violet that turns whiter towards its circumference away from the head.</p>
<p>The numbering of these chakras 1 to 7 begins at the base of the spine, which is chakra number one. This numbering coincides with the spectrum along the wavelength of light.</p>
<p>The first of these chakras is responsible for our vitality, sexual and physical health.</p>
<p>The second chakra commands our creative powers.</p>
<p>The third chakra is responsible for our desires and what we want.</p>
<p>The fourth chakra is responsible for our emotions and helps us to both give and receive love.</p>
<p>The fifth chakra is responsible for communicating and is the link between what we feel and what we think.</p>
<p>The sixth chakra is responsible for our intuition and extra sensory powers, which is why we call it the sixth sense.</p>
<p>The seventh chakra connects us with our higher power and the rest of the universe.</p>
<p>When people feel they are connecting directly with God, they are focusing the energies of their seventh, purple-white, crown chakra.</p>
<p>The principle behind these chakras or wheels is that in a clean and healthy mind, these wheels will spin freely. And a spinning wheel will emit the most positive and strongest good energies for the person. However, if these wheels cannot spin due to some blockage, the person will experience sickness problems, both mentally and physically amid his or her chakras.</p>
<p>No chakra should be more developed than the others, either. If this happens then addictions, neuroses, obsessive-compulsive disorders, or unintentional cruelty will result.</p>
<p>There is constant worry that these chakras will become blocked. For instance, some people who possess a negative attitude towards sexual relations or have a poor diet will experience ill health or broken romantic relations primarily because they have disturbed the base red chakra.</p>
<p>If you constantly think about dark things like working black magic against people, you&#8217;ll clog up the seventh, purple-white, crown chakra and cut off your access to the cosmic or the divine, leaving you feeling bitter, fearful, and empty.</p>
<p>A healthy, rapid spinning chakra is extremely flexible and is able to open and shut when necessary. This gives it the ability to receive energy from a source which is good, but close when a negative force is attempting to transmit its own bad energy. If it is not healthy however it will be unable to prevent you from receiving this bad energy.</p>
<p>The way to use chakra therapy is to focus in a balanced way on each one of the seven major energy categories that each chakra commands. This should be done on a daily basis.</p>
<p>When you meditate, you will be able to pinpoint the chakra that requires cleansing. Thereafter just concentrate on making that energy category strong so that the energies are restored to their healthiest best.</p>
<p>Some people find that meditating on a gem stone the same color as the chakra wheel allows them to get a clear image in their mind of what actions they need to take to make it healthier.</p>
<p>Many people find that the simplest way is to listen to the frequencies of each chakra in turn which results in your own chakras resonating with these frequencies, which then results in them becoming completely balanced.</p>

<p>The chakra is a Sanskrit word that literally means a spinning wheel or vortex. Its other meaning are the seven chakras found in the human body which corresponds to the glandular systems of the body. Each chakra is a center of spinning energy where the first chakra is found at the base of the spine while the seventh, at the crown.</p>
<p>It is known that the chakra is a center of spinning energy, and that everything that moves causes vibrations. With this vibration, you find sound and this is why different parts of the body vibrate with different chakra sounds at different frequencies.</p>
<p>Seven different chakra sounds come from the seven chakras. Colors also vibrate with the sound at different frequencies. There are different colors associated with the different chakras and it is the combination of the chakra sound and color that restores balance in chakras. This in turn improves health.</p>
<p>It is easy to turn to sound healing, with the help of chakra sounds. You only need your voice to feel better, calmer and clearer in a matter of minutes. These chakra sounds should be said softly and gently for not longer than five minutes.</p>
<p>1. You start with an UH sound, which is the deepest sound you can make. You have to do this with your eyes closed and attention focused on the base chakra, found at the spine base. You have to be aware of the sound resonance in the body; not from your throat, but from where the chakra is. You can complement visualization of this chakra sound with red color. This chakra sound has to be made for a minute or two but not more than five minutes.</p>
<p>2. The second chakra sound comes from the second chakra found about three inches below the naval. The chant for this chakra sound is OOO which can be complimented with the color orange. Eyes have to be closed for one to two minutes when chanting to realize the balancing of this chakra with other chakras.</p>
<p>3. OH is the chakra sound from the third chakra, the navel chakra. This chakra is located in the naval area and its complimenting color is the color yellow. This chakra sound starts softly and gently but is of a higher tone than the previous sound.</p>
<p>4. The chakra sound for the heart chakra, found in the middle of the chest is AH. This sound is usually emitted when in love and the heart chakra is associated with love. Green is the color you can use for complimenting this chakra sound where you have to start with a soft and gentle sound, with a slightly higher pitch than the last chakra sound.</p>
<p>5. The chakra sound for the throat chakra is EYE which has blue as its complimenting color. Like other chakra sounds, this chakra sound too has to be of a higher pitch than previous sounds</p>
<p>6. The chakra sound for the third eye found in the forehead between and slightly higher than the two eyes is AYE. The color that goes with this chakra sound is indigo. The chakra sound has to start with a soft and gentle tone, but with a higher pitch than the last sounds.</p>
<p>7. The crown chakra situated at the top of the head is where you chant the highest sound possible, EEE. This chakra sound is complemented with the color purple that starts with the highest sound you can make, EEE. Like other chakra sounds, this chakra sound also starts softly and gently.</p>
<p>The eyes have to be closed when chanting all chakra sounds with attention concentrated on the different chakras. This focus on the chakra starts projecting the chakra sound from the chakra. And the resonance from the sound chakras helps in the balance and alignment of the each chakra with other chakras.</p>
<p>It is better if you relax or meditate after this exercise as you may feel light headed. This should be done so that you can realize the benefits of the chakra sounds better.</p>

<p>Present in the body of every human being, the chakras are the focal points for our energy. We may or may not be aware of them, but our chakras have an effect on our lives, whether for good (as when they are in alignment) or when they hold us back from getting the most out of our lives (such as when they are out of alignment or blocked).</p>
<p>Chakra comes from the Sanksrit word for energy. Although the concept comes to us from the Hindu faith, our energy centers care little what, if any religion we ourselves may practice. Energy is instead a universal force possessed by every person. The physical manifestation of the path through which this energy flows in and out of our auras is the Chakras.</p>
<p>Ensuring that your chakras are aligned will allow you to better understand yourself; in body, mind and spirit. Most people are unbalanced, with their chakras being unaligned. Chakra meditation is for that reason a very useful practice. You must first know where your chakras are and their function in order to begin chakra meditation.</p>
<p>Your chakras are sited in vital areas such as your heart and your head. The organs which are in the area of these chakras are used to control the energy of the chakra and are as such directly affected by their chakra. There are seven chakras in the human body.</p>
<p>Your first chakra is call the Root Chakra and sits at the base of your spine. Governed by this chakra are your constitution and general health. This chakra is representative of our physical bodies and its relation between the physical and mental aspects of human nature. Each chakra has a color and red is the color of the Root Chakra.</p>
<p>The second chakra is the Naval Chakra and it is founding the lower abdomen. This chakra is tied to the acts of giving and receiving as well as our physical feeling of love, sexuality, passion and pleasure. When you are experiencing feelings of harmony, selflessness, generosity and creativity you will feel it in this chakra. The color for the Naval Chakra is orange.</p>
<p>Next we have our Solar Plexus Chakra which is found just below our chest. This chakra is where our will and our sense of change or transformation is located. Our concentration and control of our own personal energies stem from this chakra. Self control and our discipline of our ego is also found here. The color for this chakra is yellow.</p>
<p>Your fourth chakra is the Heart Chakra, which can be found at the center of your chest. This chakra is representative of your feelings of compassion, love and understanding. Love which goes beyond the physical aspect is part of this chakra. Green is the color of this chakra.</p>
<p>The fifth chakra is the Throat Chakra, sited between the chin and the sternum. This chakra governs communication. The Throat Chakra lets us understand the power of honest speech to convey truth, kindness and wisdom. The color of the Throat chakra is sky blue.</p>
<p>Your sixth chakra is the Brow Chakra, which can be found on your forehead (and for this reason is sometimes called the third eye). This is the chakra which controls imagination, intuition and insight. Properly aligned, this chakra lets you examine your soul by looking inward. Experiences of the divine are found here, in the chakra which is also the source of peace of mind. The color of the Brow Chakra is indigo.</p>
<p>The final chakra is the Crown Chakra, obviously based on the name it is found at the top of the head. So it should go with out saying then that anything that deals with the mind and spirit is controlled here. It is the Crown Chakra that is tied to our individual journey into understanding our own consciousness and our place in time and space. Anything dealing with the Higher Self is rooted in the Crown Chakra. The color for the Crown Chakra is violet.</p>
<p>If you know the function and the location of each of your chakras, you will be able to practice chakra meditation more effectively. You can use meditations which work on individual chakras, or ones which align them as a whole.</p>

<p>Every part of us is interdependent: our bodies, minds and spirits are all an important part of our overall health. Our chakras are part of our bodies, even though we cannot see them and they are just as subject to physical, environmental and spiritual influences as the rest of us. Chakra cleansing can help you to stay in optimal health by keeping our chakras properly balanced and maintaining the efficient flow of energy.</p>
<p>Body, spirit and mind need to be in harmony with each other and chakra cleansing can keep these elements in balance; like getting regular exercise, it?s just another part of living a healthy lifestyle.</p>
<p>What follows is a list of some of the chakra cleansing techniques which have been shown to be effective and have been used for many centuries.</p>
<p>*Smudging: This is burning herbs and plants to clear away negative energies which can block your chakras. White sage is an especially potent herb for this. Burn some white sage in a room with the doors and windows closed for a few minutes, letting the smoke fill the room. </p>
<p>*Auric brushing: Crystals and gems can be used to heal and cleanse chakras, but should only be done by a trained professional as if not done the right way, this technique can cause damage.</p>
<p>*Diet: Eat a healthy, well balanced diet and get plenty of water and pure fruit and vegetable juices. Get adequate sleep every day as when your body is in good shape, your chakras will also benefit.</p>
<p>*Get regular exercise and breathe properly to maintain proper chakric function.</p>
<p>*Make time to experience the natural world. Spending time outdoors can do wonders for your chakras. Even if you live in a large city, spend some time with the plants and wildlife in a larger park or even your own backyard.</p>
<p>*Color therapy: Each of your chakras has a corresponding color and can be stimulated and cleansed of negative energy by visualizing these colors or by looking at them.</p>
<p>*Music: Music is a powerful means of chakra cleansing as well as a way to activate chakras and boost the function of the endocrine system.</p>
<p>*Mental Exercise: By keeping your mind active and endeavoring to learn new things, your chakras will stay more active and free of blockages.</p>
<p>*Make a little time every day to meditate and reflect on your day. This gives you perspective and is a very effective method of chakra cleansing.</p>
<p>*Love yourself: You cannot give or receive love until you first love yourself; love causes the production of brain chemicals which produce a sensation of well being and is also healthy for your chakras.</p>
<p>*Be attuned to your emotions. You need to acknowledge your emotions and be able to communicate them to others when needed. Repressing your emotions is not good for your mental or spiritual health and can cause blockages of negative energy in your chakras.</p>
<p>*Use your creativity. When you allow your creativity to have a place in your daily life, you keep your energy flowing properly and will start enjoying your life more.</p>
<p>*Past lives: You need to be open to your past lives, especially to the opportunity to learn about yourself through them. The self awareness and sense of purpose this can give you will make all of your other chakra cleansing techniques more effective.</p>
<p>*Make your life one which is lived with honesty, trust and respect for others; the same will come to you.</p>
<p>*Prayer: Like meditation, prayer can quiet your mind and the more quiet you become, the more you can hear; this can open your mind and keep your chakras in balance.</p>
<p>These are all methods of chakra cleansing which should be incorporated into your life. You may not experience instant results with chakra cleansing, but if you make these methods a regular part of your day, you&#8217;ll soon see increased health, self awareness and happiness through chakra cleansing.</p>

<p>According to the ancient Hindus, chakras are the human body&#8217;s main energy centers; they are acknowledged as an essential part of our life force which help keep our mind and body functioning together harmoniously in top-notch condition. Although not physically visible, chakras are associated with our body&#8217;s major endocrinal glands (which are visible).</p>
<p>Chakras are responsible for regulating the energy that flow into and from our body. This continuous interplay of energy within our body, the environment and objects we come in contact with ultimately requires that our chakras remain in balance in order to be able to function as best as possible for our benefit.</p>
<p>Our seven primary chakras each correspond to a particular part of our endocrine system. Everything we experience is intimately related to our chakras.</p>
<p>Physical, emotional and mental stress can cause imbalance in the function of our chakras and when this occurs we feel lethargic or show signs of physical illnesses. This illness is a manifestation that there is something not right about how our chakra functions.</p>
<p>For our body to reap the benefits of a well-tuned chakric system, they need to be functioning in harmony with one another. Chakra balance is essential to maintain its beneficial function to the human body and to achieve this, regular chakra balancing is necessary much like a car&#8217;s preventive maintenance procedures.</p>
<p>Importance of Chakra Balancing There are many different ways to balance your chakras; others are always being developed to help people reach a state of perfect balance in their chakras. This is the goal of those who want to have a more healthy, happy and productive life.</p>
<p>This all begins with an understanding that each chakra resonates to a different frequency; these frequencies are naturally occurring and help the chakras to perform their important function of transmitting and receiving energy; also known as prana or chi.</p>
<p>During periods of illnesses, our chakras are still functioning but may be out of synch which can hamper the free flow of energy to further aggravate our physical and/or mental and emotional illness. Other contributory factors to the malfunction of our chakra system are undue stress or the inability to cope, suppressed emotions, unhealthy food intake, and lack of exercise.</p>
<p>Though they may be out of synch and not function at their best from time to time, their balance can be restored.</p>
<p>Tools of Chakra Balancing: The most common tools used to restore the balance of chakras are color, crystals and gems, light, sound and aroma therapy.</p>
<p>Colors: Commonly used colors and their corresponding chakras are red (the root chakra), orange (the sacral chakra), yellow (the solar plexus chakra), green and turquoise (the heart chakra), blue (the throat chakra), violet (the crown chakra) and white for any of the seven primary chakras.</p>
<p>Crystals and Gems: For millennia, laying gens, crystals and stones on the body at the location of the chakras has been used to restore chakra balance., Each chakra corresponds to a different color; so laying a stone of this color on the bodily area which corresponds to it can help to reach the proper balance, which in turn helps the body to heal.</p>
<p>And because crystals and gems reflect light which results in various colors, the resulting play of light and color into the body through the chakra points also result in the balance of the chakra system.</p>
<p>Light: Light therapy employs light not only on the eyes, but also on the reflex points and the meridian points of acupuncture to restore chakra balance. The broad spectrum of light is very beneficial here, including both visible and invisible frequencies, including those corresponding to the chakras.</p>
<p>Aromatherapy: Aromatherapy is the use of scented candles, fragrant massage oils and bath soaps in order to capitalize on the   healing properties and physiological effects of the chemical ingredients of plants? essential oils that make up the base product. Essential oils are able to clean, set free and restore an individual&#8217;s stability of thoughts and emotions because they can affect a person&#8217;s mental, emotion and spiritual aspects. Aromatherapy is generally employed to relieve stress, promote physical and mental relaxation, combat fatigue and depression and as an aid to meditation.</p>
<p>Sound: The use of tuning forks, soft music, quartz crystal, Tibetan bowls, and other objects to generate an agreeable resonance is also utilized to achieve a healthier well-being. Sound has natural vibration and resonance therapeutic effect because it affects us emotionally. Beautiful and melodious sounds can induce serenity and calm whereas chaotic sounds produce dissension and discord. Sound can be used to achieve a quiet and peaceful atmosphere in order to better faster healing and achieve higher levels of consciousness.</p>
<p>Until very recently, chakra balancing was a difficult process which could take a great deal of time. However, technological advances in the audio field have brought us binaural frequencies, subliminal sound and self-hypnosis recordings; all of which have made chakra balancing much easier to achieve.</p>
