for someone practicing yoga and direct spiritual perception it is obvious that the tree of knowledge is the nervous system including the brain. what else is there to acquire knowledge and make judgements? not to eat the fruit thereof means that one must not judge the world in patterns of good and evil. the tree of life on the other hand is the tree of light (life=light) that is within us. we are light beings with the illusion of a body. also quantum physics tells us that we are light (energy).
