Is The Polar Shift Going To Happen In 2012?
I know that there has been several polar shifts on the planet before, but is there scientific evidence that another polar shift will happen in 2012?
Thanks!

Anyone that says the world will end in 2012, needs to do more reading. A few science classes wouldn’t hurt, too. Maybe just read 2012hoax.org.
If you listen to people that make crazy rants about science or religion, then you get the same irrational thinking that led to the Spanish Inquisition and yeah, I know no one expects that.
Wait a sec, there’s a knock at my door…
Some people feel for various reasons that the earth’s polar caps will make a sudden shift. This event would cause a huge change in the way the earth looks. Land masses would change dramatically. Where there was once water would now be dry and areas of land might be completely flooded. This sudden shift of the polars has been proven by a lot of people to not be “so sudden”. Many scholars believe that the shifting of the polar caps takes place slowly over a very long period of time. This is also another theory which a lot of times involves the planet Nibiru. If Nibiru (Planet X) did exist then the gravitational pull from it moving through our solar system might cause the polar caps to shift?
It’s possible if the Dark Rift has the force to do so. The 2012 thing is that very few people know about the galactic alignment at 11:11 GMT on 12-21-2012. This event happens once every 25,800 years. The calendar the Maya used was actually created by an ancient civilization. BTW this calendar ends at 11:11 GMT on 12-21-2012 but only because the next calendar starts exactly then.
Why such a specific date? Is your question tied in with the Mayan calendar? They didn’t mention anything about pole shifts. Most likely there will be a solar flare but we have had them in the past, they will hardly affect us at all. The energy would be disperse through out the earth and not resulting in a polar shifts.
Probably not.
One of several Mayan calendars is the Long Count calendar, which is reset to day 0 every 1,872,000 days or 7057.5 years. The next reset date, by some calculations, is December 21, 2012. This is not a prediction of the end of the world. Here is what a Mayan elder says on the subject: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091011/ap_o…
These predictions are scare tactics, conspiracy theories, and chances to make money from books and movies.
Ever since the Y2K and 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenarios did not pan out, the scare mongers, conspiracy theorists, book sellers, and television executives have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. When 2012 does not happen either, I am sure they will think of something else.

“But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come.” (Mark 13:32-33)
Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.
The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.
The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus’ advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.
Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time.

With love in Christ.
Only if you are Mayan. More seriously, there is no scientific way yet known to predict pole swapping.
it won’t end the world and it random when polar shifts happen
