Instead of reading a bunch of sensationalist propaganda, why don't you read some geology papers on pole shifts so you can understand what they're really like? The Earth has had many pole shifts in the past, and none of them appeared to disrupt life one bit. Nor were pole shifts ever associated with a change in the magnetic field or with the core's rotation. Gregg Branden is widely regarded as a crazy-pants with crazy-pants ideas in geology. I wouldn't take anything he says seriously. The 2012 event is not a pole shift, but the Earth crossing the galactic center. It will make a pretty pattern in the night sky in areas where you can see the Milky Way. That's about all that'll happen. Sorry to bust your bubble. They didn’t.
