Shawn…..Yoga definitely helps with depression. In general -exercise- helps with depression. Yoga is excellent. It works in the different chakras (energy centers) of the body.
Yes it does. Meditation, if done correctly, will raise your chi or life force. That in itself IS a remedy for depression. The only question is whether you will meditate correctly, or sufficiently in order for that to happen. If you do, it will help.
Yes, meditation practiced on a consistent basis can help alleviate depression, however “meditation on medication” would most likely not be beneficial.
I would suggest discussing meditation with your doctor to see about a course of decreasing your medication in order to meditate ‘unencumbered’. It would also be helpful for you to seek out someone experienced with meditation to help get you started.
