Are Pilates and Yoga enough to tone muscle?

kids yoga

I hate lifting weights and really don’t have time to go to the gym. I can do Pilates or Yoga early in the am while the kids are sleeping. Will this tone muscle like weights? I walk for my cardio.

  1. yes, pilates and yoga are excellent for toning! It’s more fun than lifting weights too…
Pilates works more on the muscle tone and yoga more on your flexibility-both very important things.
Seems like you have the right idea. I’d definitely do a 30 minute session of either one of them (maybe alternate) at least 5 days a week. Good luck! :)
